Reclaim
When a Loot ends with funds unclaimed, that value is not lost. Contributors can recover it through reclaim.
When you can reclaim
Section titled “When you can reclaim”Reclaim opens once a Loot reaches Ended — its window closed, all seats were claimed, or the balance ran out. While a Loot is Pending or Active, funds are committed to the campaign and cannot be withdrawn.
What you get back
Section titled “What you get back”It depends on the asset type, and it is based on the on-chain record of what you contributed:
- Native & ERC-20 — your pro-rata share of the remaining balance: your contribution as a fraction of total contributions, applied to whatever is left unclaimed.
- ERC-721 — the specific NFTs you deposited that are still unclaimed. Tokens claimed during the campaign are gone; the rest come back to you.
How to reclaim
Section titled “How to reclaim”- Open the ended Loot from your profile or its page.
- Choose Reclaim.
- Confirm the transaction. Your share is transferred back to your wallet (you pay only gas).
Reclaim is permissionless — you do not need the creator’s approval — and reads straight from the on-chain ledger, so nobody can recover more than they contributed. It is a one-time action: once you reclaim, your contribution record is settled.
Why it’s safe to fund generously
Section titled “Why it’s safe to fund generously”Because anything unclaimed returns to its contributors, there is no penalty for funding a wide, generous Loot. If fewer participants show up than you planned for, you simply reclaim the difference when it ends. This is what lets creators set generous seats and budgets without worrying about value getting stuck in a quiet campaign.
